A private jet from Singapore to Hong Kong takes a little under four hours, and the flight is the same in either direction. It joins Asia’s two main financial centres, both with ASA offices, and lets a team leave Singapore after breakfast and be in a Central meeting room by early afternoon. This page covers the route in figures, the airport choices and the aircraft that suit it.

Departing Singapore: Seletar or Changi
Seletar is Singapore’s business aviation airport and the usual departure point for private flights. It is quieter than Changi, with private handling and quick passenger processing. The one constraint to plan around is Seletar’s night curfew from 22:00 to 07:00 local time, when only medical and emergency flights are permitted. A late night departure therefore moves to Changi, where slots for business aviation are required and limited, or to the following morning.

Changi is also the natural choice when you are connecting from a commercial flight. Our private jet charter Singapore page explains both airports in detail.
Arriving in Hong Kong
Private flights land at Hong Kong International Airport, and passengers are processed through the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC), a dedicated private terminal with its own customs, immigration and quarantine. HKBAC has opened a new terminal as part of an expansion expected to double its handling capacity, and the airport’s three-runway system, commissioned in late 2024, has eased earlier capacity limits on business aviation. Slots and parking are still requested in advance and are arranged as part of your booking. From the terminal, Central is typically 30 to 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Which aircraft suit Singapore to Hong Kong
The route is close to four hours, so the cabin matters more than it does on a short hop.

Light jets for smaller groups
A light jet has a range of around 3,500 km, so it can usually fly Singapore to Hong Kong non-stop, depending on passenger load and winds. It is an efficient option for a small team that values speed and flexibility over cabin size.
Midsize and super-midsize for a working cabin
A midsize jet (8 passengers) gives more room to work and eat over four hours, and more space for luggage on a longer trip. A flight attendant is also included on jets of this size. A super-midsize jet (eight to twelve passengers, around 7,500 km range) suits a team continuing from Hong Kong to Tokyo, Seoul or Shanghai, or flying back to Singapore without refuelling.
Planning a two-city day or a regional roadshow
With no time difference and under four hours each way, a Singapore to Hong Kong return in one day is possible but long. An overnight in Hong Kong, or making the trip part of a wider roadshow, is often the more comfortable plan. A typical example is Singapore to Hong Kong, then on to Shanghai (about 1,260 km from Hong Kong) or Tokyo (about 2,900 km), and back to Singapore, keeping the same aircraft and crew for every leg. Crew rest, slots and permits for each stop can be planned as one itinerary.

What drives the cost on this route
Private charter is priced per aircraft, not per seat. On Singapore to Hong Kong, the main factors are the aircraft category, where the aircraft is based before your flight, whether it waits for a return or flies a separate positioning sector, crew accommodation if you overnight, and airport, handling, parking and navigation charges at both ends. Our guide to private jet charter cost in Asia explains each element.
Booking through ASA’s Singapore and Hong Kong offices
ASA Air Charter has arranged private flights across Asia since 1999, with offices in both Singapore and Hong Kong. The ASA Group and its subsidiaries act solely as air charter brokers and do not own, maintain, or operate any aircraft. We compare aircraft across many operators and recommend the one that fits your group, schedule and onward plans.
Before any aircraft is proposed, we confirm the operator’s Air Operator Certificate is valid, that its insurance covers the specific mission, and that it holds any foreign operator permits the route requires. See how ASA selects operators, and our corporate and executive charter page for regular business travel.
We prefer a week’s notice before the departure date to ensure all permits and approvals are in hand. If you need to fly sooner, contact our charter team and we will check whether it is operationally viable at short notice.

How long is a private jet flight from Singapore to Hong Kong?
About 3 hours 50 minutes, gate to gate. The great-circle distance is around 2,565 km, and the return from Hong Kong to Singapore takes about the same time.
Should I depart from Seletar or Changi?
Seletar is Singapore’s business aviation airport and the preferred choice for private departures. Changi is used for departures during Seletar’s 22:00 to 07:00 curfew, subject to slots, and when connecting from a commercial flight.
Can I fly Singapore to Hong Kong and back in one day?
It is possible, with just under four hours each way and no time difference, but it makes for a long day for passengers and crew. An overnight in Hong Kong, or continuing to another city, is often more comfortable. Crew duty limits are checked when the flight is quoted.
Which aircraft is best for six passengers on this route?
A light jet can carry six passengers non-stop, but over nearly four hours most groups of six prefer a midsize jet for its larger cabin and baggage space.
How far in advance should I book?
We prefer a week’s notice before the departure date to ensure all permits and approvals are in hand. If you need to fly sooner, contact our charter team and we will check whether it is operationally viable at short notice.
